This week's theme is "you"... meaning... ME! :) Oh boy... 7 whole days of me... perhaps we will start with small glimpses. Today, my Tiffany bracelet I wear almost everyday (can you tell by the scratches?!). This bracelet was my college graduation present from my parents. My dad had passed shortly before I received it, but I love it because on the other side of NIKA it says Love, Mom and Dad... it is the last piece of my dad I truly have. <3

Day 7: Commitment
Day 7: The Spirit of Commitment
Today (though posted a day late, but 1/8) is my sister's 6 month chip in AA. I could not be more proud of her! She has worked her a** off to get here, made tremendous changes in her life and within herself. Congratulations Desi, I am so proud of you!

Love, in life and in death
Day Five: In the Spirit of Everlasting Love

This is a photo of my mom and her late husband, Geo. He just passed on Thanksgiving. She plans on burning a Sacred Heart of Jesus candle for one year in his memory. I love the reflection of the prayer on the back of this candle in the window!

Day 4
Day 4: The Spirit of The Lifelong Learner
My sister learning how to measure the 3 dimensions of a piece of furniture for someone interested in buying it... Watching her try to grasp this concept was hilarious! :) Love ya Des!

Sisterly Love
Day 3: Spirit
So... I had a TOTALLY different plan tonight, but the images didn't save to my card for some reason :( So, I was all sad. Then, I walked into my bedroom and Spirit - Day 3 found me.
In the spirit of sisterly love! My cats NEVER snuggle together, let alone bathe each other. Couldn't pick between these two. :)

Day 2
Day 2: Spirit: As in - The Holy Spirit
I chose this one because this last year has been filled with ups and downs. Like, really big ups and really big downs. And, everything that has happened in the last year, I am confident were all a part of God's plan (whether we agree with him or not), and that he was there for me and my family through all of the ups and downs that 2010 brought.

365 Days of Photos
Happy 2011! I have decided to re-visit my blog. But, this year, with a much more photojournalistic approach than just writing. I am going to do a 365 day photo project this year! So... I found a list of themes on a photo board I follow online. The theme for week one is "spirit".
Today's photo: The spirit of the new year - resolutions for a healthier year
I took this after Chris and I went on a walk with the pups tonight.
